In a historic opportunity to support the public procurement profession, NIGP joined with the Florida Association of Public Procurement (FAPPO), the California Association of Public Procurement (CAPPO), and the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) as an official sponsor of the AEP Award founded by the National Purchasing Institute (NPI) in 1995.
The program was created by NPI to:
 Recognize organizational excellence in public and no-profit procurement,

Belinda Reutter, CMP was recently promoted as NIGP’s Member Services and Technical Resources Director. Belinda joined the NIGP team in October 2000 as the Education Department's Seminar Coordinator where she coordinated the logistics for more than 230 educational seminars sponsored by NIGP on an annual basis. Belinda was also responsible for managing the educational workshops during the annual Forum. 
December 15th! As our first Director of Chapter Development and Support, Cyndi was responsible for the charter of three new chapters each year from 2001 to 2003! She also spearheaded the Chapter Networker Newsletter, Chapter leadership initiatives, the Chapter awards programs, and several manuals and governance documents supporting the creation of new chapter charters. She also served as the staff liaison to the NIGP National Diversity Committee. In addition to her accomplishments with the chapter program, long-time friends of NIGP will remember Cyndi as our seminar coordinator in the 1990s and our certification coordinator in the 1980s.
